WINEBERRY BAR+LOUNGE

You have to understand: We love the fair. But, last year it occurred to us that just maybe -- nestled among the cotton candy trailers, beer neons, and baby goats -- the Wisconsin State Fair could use a swanky wine spot.

Some people disagreed. They thought we were being too fancy. They thought people would try to steal our cool lamps. They thought we didn’t understand what fairgoers wanted.

We’re still laughing.
